Hilton Tokyo Odaiba - Full Review

The Hilton Tokyo Odaiba is a beautiful waterfront hotel with a stunning view of the Tokyo skyline and Rainbow bridge. Situated just outside of Tokyo, there are a ton of foods, shopping and activities for the whole family in Odaiba.

We visited for the first 2 nights on our honeymoon. It was a short but memorable stay. The biggest draw to this hotel was the location since we wanted to warm up to our Japanese experience by spending a full day at the Odaiba Tokyo Oedo-Onsen Monogatari and visiting the nearby attractions like the Statue of Liberty, Gundam statues and the malls. All which was quite the experience but we’ll share in a later post. For now, we’re excited to share our experience at the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba.

Check In:

Check in was silky smooth. Even with the language barrier, the front desk agent was fluent in English and provided us with the signature Hilton customer service, maybe even better than some. We were welcomed as Hilton Gold members and were upgraded to a bay view room. :)

The Room:

For being Hilton Gold members, we were upgraded from a standard view room to a bay view room. It was a HUGE room with more than enough space for the two of us. It featured a king bed, a seating area full size bathroom with shower AND tub, a bidet, and balcony overlooking the bay. One of our favorite things about Japanese hotel rooms is the bidets. Such a cool feature!

The Food:

Since Japan is a mecca for food, the only meals we ate in the hotel were breakfast. We tried two different options: the buffet and room service.

The Breakfast Buffet spread was by far one of the best we’ve had at a Hilton Hotel. Options varied from western/American options to Asian options. There was more than enough of a variety for every palate. Not to mention, the view from the buffet was stellar featuring panoramic views of the bay and Rainbow bridge. What an incredible backdrop.

Room Service breakfast was just as delicious. For context, we had a little mishap that was resolved very kindly and quickly by the Hilton staff. We used the little room service hanger the night before and checked off all of our decisions. The idea of this hanger is to wake up and enjoy your breakfast from the room. Well, when the time came for our food to arrive, I checked outside of our door and no one had picked up our door hanger. After calling the front desk with our issue, room service came rolling in with a cart full of delicious yummies ranging from continental to an American breakfast within 30 minutes. While it was a little bit of a headache and started our day not as expected, we were delighted when our food (and coffee) arrived. (And the food was comped for the inconvenience.)

Hotel Facilities/Amenities:

Since we were only there for 2 nights, we didn’t get a chance to use most of the amenities. We did visit the pool and gym area.

Side Note: swimming in Japanese hotels is not like it is in most places. You’re required to sign in and they give you a swimming cap and slippers. No shoes and no loose hair.

Overall, we had an incredible stay at the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba. It was a beautiful hotel with great features, accommodations and stellar service. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Odaiba-Minato area for work or for leisure. However, it’s a decently far train ride from central Tokyo. If central Tokyo is where you plan to spend most of your time, we would recommend the Hilton Tokyo. More on that later.
